INTERNAL RULES & FISHING
Fishing is only allowed in 100% No–kill. Night fishing is only allowed for carp & sturgeon species, with immediate catch and release of all fish, using necessary precautions to ensure their survival.
Arrival time is set from 2:00 PM and departure time is before 1:00 PM, without exception.
1 – Anglers must settle at the numbered spots they have reserved and, most importantly, respect the fishing area marked on the map available on our website and displayed at the reception.
2 – A maximum of three rods are allowed per angler, with only one single hook per rod (maximum size #2). Only hair rig fishing is permitted.
3 – Only barbless hooks or completely flattened hooks are allowed.
4 – Braided line is strictly prohibited, whether for shock leader, main line, or hook link.
5 – Maximum allowed nylon diameter is 40/100 and minimum 28/100.
6 – Lead-core is ONLY allowed in the form and use of 'ANTI ANGLE' with a maximum length of 50 cm.
7- Rigs that do not allow the lead to be released immediately in case of breakage are prohibited.
The site managers reserve the right to occasionally check the rigs by lifting one or more rods.
8- The large individual unhooking mat, a large landing net (with a minimum opening of 1 meter) for carp fishing, as well as a container such as a bucket to wet the mat and the fish are mandatory. All this equipment, provided by the owner, must be requested upon arrival and returned in perfect condition. Only this equipment should be used to preserve the health of our fish stock and prevent the spread of diseases.
9 – The use of a keepnet, even floating, is prohibited. Fish must be returned to the water as quickly as possible, both day and night, ensuring they are properly reoxygenated.
10 – It is mandatory to have a healing product intended solely for fish. (Betadine is strictly prohibited)
11 – The use of a landing net is prohibited for sturgeons. (They must only be handled by the tail)
12 – Remote-controlled boats are allowed.
Boats are prohibited (except during operations announced and/or organized by the manager of the RIVALAIS estate). Anglers must be equipped with life jackets, oars, and/or electric motors only. Swimming is strictly prohibited.
13 – Unattended rods, fish marking, or mutilation are prohibited.
14 – All seeds must be cooked. (Peanut seeds are prohibited).
15 – Fishing shelters and tents must be in discreet colors (camouflage, brown, green). The spots must be carefully cleaned every day.
16 – Standing barbecues are allowed within the pond area, but ground fires are strictly prohibited.
17 – Vehicles must be parked in the designated areas. No vehicle will be allowed to move within the property between 7:00 PM and 8:00 AM. 'Visitors' are allowed on the property ONLY with the owner's consent and must park in the designated external parking area. All equipment must be set up in a way that does not obstruct vehicle movement on the access road.
18 – A minor wishing to fish must be accompanied by an adult.
19 – Non-aggressive dogs are allowed and must be kept on a leash. (Excrement must be picked up)
20- All trash that you have previously bagged must be collected and taken back to your home. Do not leave cigarette butts, metal caps, or other waste at the spot. The spot will be inspected before your departure.
21 – Numerous sanitary facilities, including dry toilets, have been installed around the pond, as well as a proper restroom block at the reception. Please use them for your natural needs and leave them in impeccable condition.
22 – I agree that I may be photographed for commercial use by the RIVALAIS Estate, and possibly for publication or distribution on the company's website (www.etang-rivalais.com) or on the company's official Facebook page (domainerivalais). In case of refusal, I must inform the owner upon arrival
23 – Any intoxicated person disturbing other anglers will be immediately expelled without refund. No excessive noise, loud radios, or bright lighting in fishing areas. Respect for others will be a fundamental rule at the Rivalais Estate
24 – The owner of the Rivalais Estate is relieved of all responsibility in case of accidents, thefts, or property damage.
25 – Payment is made in full at the time of online booking when this service becomes available on our website. In the meantime, the full amount for your stay must be paid upon arrival. Due to numerous bounced checks, the management will only accept payments in cash and soon by credit card.
26 – Predator fishing is prohibited except during events organized and announced by the RIVALAIS estate. It will only be allowed with lures. Live bait fishing is prohibited.
I acknowledge that I have read the INTERNAL RULES of the RIVALAIS estate and I agree to comply with them. My arrival at the Rivalais Estate and my payment confirm my full acceptance of the terms of the internal rules and fishing regulations.
Any clear violation of the rules will result in the immediate and permanent expulsion of the offender without refund, in addition to any legal sanctions.
